Aico CO alarms - Carbon Monoxide Alarms

Besides the fire alarms, smoke alarms, heat alarms, ionisation alarms, optical alarms or the muti-sensor alarms, there is yet another type of detectors - the CO detector - the Carbon Monoxide alarms. These alarms can be either battery powered CO alarms (Aico Ei205) or mains powered CO alarms with Lithium cell battery back-up and replaceable CO sensor (Aico Ei261ENRC). Carbon Monoxide (CO), is a particularly insidious gas; it is a killer. The naked eye cannot see it, it does not smell and it has no taste. The need for a reliable mains powered alarm that will operate even in the event of a mains failure is obvious. Even more: it is the landlord's responsibility to take care of this peril; in answer to the Carbon Monoxide reliable detection, there is the Calibration process. Read more about the Aico CO alarms, and take a look at the two available models:

About the fire alarms and this website
  • The Aico Ei professional range includes fully featured products (usually specified by Local Authorities and Landlords) and less sophisticated products (where the duty of care is not so much of an issue, and where the mains supply is more likely to be continuous and/or regular battery maintenance is known to be reliably carried out). Read more about the Aico CO alarms - article online.
  • The Aico Ei261ENRC is the top of the range product. The current sensor technology used by all CO alarms manufacturers has a limited life cycle; the sensors cannot be relied upon after a period of 5/6 years. The Ei261ENRC offers a replacement sensor feature, thereby increasing the life cycle of the Carbon Monoxide alarm to ten years.
  • Check out the domestic alarm selector, choosing what alarms to fit and where, based on BS 5839-6:2004.
